This is a painting of a sculpture created by Singaporean artist, Belinda Gan, titled "Doggo and Kitty Cat".
The work intends to explore the playful characteristics of a child and the world through their eyes.

Drawing inspiration from Bar Ben Vakil, an artist that I've been following for awhile, I tried to emulate the abstract qualities of her works in this painting.
The colours have been intentionally left a little unblended to portray the playfulness and childlike qualities of a child.

I also wanted to portray the dominant nature of a cat, despite dogs being seen as the more dominant one between the two.
