Project type

Sculpture

Materials

Assorted Plastics, Aluminium Wire and Aluminium Sheets

Location

LaSalle College of The Arts, Singapore

This work was inspired by the structure of a beehive and a bird's nest.
I wanted to explore the malleability of aluminium sheets by twirling them to form these barnacle-looking like structures in the center.
I also decided to continuously coil aluminium wires to form balls that look like scribbles, reminiscent to the twigs in a bird's nest.

Additionally, the overall phallic shape of the sculpture is intentionally crafted to look like a vagina. I used plastics of all sorts to surround the center and shape the sculpture.
